Beyond the Platform – APIs as part of the Workflow

The Forschungsportal BACH is building the first comprehensive digital repository of all surviving documents by the Bach musical dynasty — spanning the late 16th to early 19th century. This talk walks through a workflow that uses the Transkribus API alongside human and automated processes to move from raw archival images to fully searchable, annotated digital editions, available to researchers worldwide.
