Transcribing deliberation protocols of the Danish-Norwegian Supreme Court 1661–1850
200,000 pages of Gothic handwriting document the deliberations of the Danish-Norwegian Supreme Court from 1661 to 1850 — covering judgements for Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Denmark's overseas colonies. Never systematically studied due to their inaccessibility, this Transkribus project is now opening up this extraordinary source for legal historians and scholars of Nordic absolutism.
