James Harry Morris MTheol, PhD, FRAS completed his doctoral studies on Christianity in Japan at the University in 2018. He has since worked in higher education in Japan at top universities including the University of Tsukuba (2018–2022) and Waseda University (2022–2024). He currently serves a Project Associate Professor at the National Institutes of the Humanities and the National Museum of Japanese History. Morris is a long-time editor for the online digital humanities magazine, The Digital Orientalist (ISSN: 2772-8374). His research focuses on Christianity in Japan, Christian-Muslim relations, and the digital humanities.
