Lara Piva is a Material Specialist at READ-COOP, which she joined in 2023 following an internship during her doctoral studies. Her role focuses on the Transkribus platform, where she creates ground truth data for projects and carries out system testing to ensure a seamless experience for users.

She holds a Master's degree in Classical Literature and Ancient History, as well as a teaching qualification for secondary level Classics (Latin and Ancient Greek) and Italian. During her PhD in Digital Humanities, she researched the transmission of Latin classics in the early print era, using Transkribus to transcribe printed editions of Livy and identify textual variants.
