Maximilian Hindermann is a Research Navigator at RISE (University of Basel), where his work connects digital humanities, research data management, and applied computing. Current focus areas include the use and evaluation of large language models in humanities research, the extraction of information from (historical) image data, and the design of data infrastructures and research workflows. Further areas of expertise include classification systems (such as controlled vocabularies, thesauri, and ontologies) and FAIR data dissemination. He holds a PhD in philosophy (Geneva) and a MAS in Library and Information Science (Zurich).
