I am a Mexican archaeologist specialised in Spanish colonial navigation, early modern New Spain palaeography, and digital humanities. As Senior Researcher for the New Spain Fleets project (Lancaster University, UK), I’ve led the development of five calligraphy-specific HTR models for early modern Spanish.
