Rūta Bruževica is a PhD student at Tallinn University, researching the craft organisations of medieval Riga and Tallinn by focusing on their role as spaces of sociability for artisans. As a junior research fellow, she is part of the “Digital Livonia” project team and contributes by comprehensively digitalising and transcribing the medieval craft statutes of Riga and Tallinn. In her work, Rūta implements digital history tools to enrich source analysis and is training a handwritten text recognition model for texts of Medieval Livonia.
