Transkribus4Academy: AI Stewardship in Academic Libraries

Academic libraries are becoming AI stewards — and Transkribus is one of the tools leading the way. At Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, the library has built a support service that uses Transkribus both to help researchers across disciplines unlock handwritten collections and to enhance access to the library's own special holdings, including for users with visual challenges.
