Being glocal with AI tools: the question of minority and endangered languages
How can Transkribus support minority and endangered languages? Using France's remarkable linguistic diversity as a case study, this talk presents the public Breton Prints model (17th–19th centuries) and opens a broader conversation about the platform's role in preserving and digitising marginalised languages — and the strategies needed to build effective models when resources are scarce.
