Generic vs. Tailored ATR Models: A Collaborative Writing Sprint on Decision-Making

Generic model or tailored model — when does the choice actually matter, and how do you make it? This collaborative writing sprint brings together practitioners from archival science, digital humanities, and text recognition to develop a shared decision-making framework. Through case-based discussion, participants examine the real trade-offs in accuracy, resources, and downstream use (search, analysis, RAG/LLM applications), with the goal of producing a co-authored best-practices paper for publication after the conference.
