Andy studied translation, linguistics, philosophy, and, intermittently, computer science, with a research focus on measuring translation quality with machine- and human-based methods. Professionally, Andy has worked as a translator, IT manager and project collaborator in EU-funded projects, general manager of "innsbruck university innovations", and co-founder and managing director of READ-COOP.

As Director of Co-operative Relations, Andy manages key partnerships and works closely with the Transkribus R&D team, ensuring that Transkribus stays at the forefront of technological innovation.
