Diéssica Braga-Loth is a historian and a PhD student in Biological Anthropology at the University of Coimbra. Her research focuses on reconstructing health and disease in historical populations through the integration of skeletal analysis and archival medical records, using digital tools and artificial intelligence. Her work explores the osteological paradox, frailty, and the application of handwritten text recognition to historical medical documentation.
