Ephrem Aboud Ishac is the Principal Investigator of the FWF project "Identifying Scattered Puzzles of Syriac Liturgy Manuscripts" at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna. His research focuses on the digital reconstruction of fragmented traditions and the technical challenges of HTR for under-resourced languages, specifically Syriac and Garshuni Arabic. In addition to his research, he serves as a Visiting Professor at the Central European University (CEU, Vienna), where he integrates HTR training into his linguistic and historical courses. At TUC 2026, he is contributing as a scholarship presenter, poster author, and roundtable participant.
