Gena Lemmens studied Dutch and English Language and Literature at Radboud University, Nijmegen, with specialisations in book studies, palaeography and occult practices in the Late Middle Ages and Early Modern Period. She now works as an archivist at Regionaal Archief Tilburg. She spends half her work week transcribing their archives and the other half pointing researchers towards the transcriptions and other relevant sources for their research. She is co-editor of the Dutch palaeography platform WatStaatDaer and teaches palaeography classes.
