Reichskammergerichtsakten: Digitisation, Transcription with Transkribus, and Edition on iurisprudentia.online
The records of the Imperial Chamber Court (Reichskammergericht) are scattered across more than 50 archives — and until now, none had been completely digitised, transcribed, and published online. This project does exactly that for the complete Wetzlar holdings (200 files), making them fully text-searchable on iurisprudentia.online. Beyond its own collection, the project aims to catalyse systematic digitisation across all RKG archives, release transcription models for wider use, and enable the kind of large-scale, interdisciplinary legal-historical research that this extraordinary source has always promised.
